Welcome to the board, mad trapper!
Are you looking to buy now or wait until you are ready to move? I can highly recommend a friend of mine who would work hard to find you what you are looking for. Her name is Vernetta "Bert" Gracey. She is with Coldwell Banker. But, just because she is with Coldwell, she is NOT limited to Coldwell's listings. Her number is: 715-892-2107.
Here is Coldwell's site:
http://www.northwoodsrealty.com/
On the menu at the top of the page, move the mouse pointer over "All Listings". Another menu will come up. Go to the bottom and click on "Advanced MLS Search". With this search program, you can specify what you are looking for, including; price range, type of property, area, and on-water or off-water. This will pull up listings from all real-estate companies. If you find something interesting, give Bert a call or email her at bgracey@newnorth.net . She can send you or email you a more detailed information sheet.
I will also put together a list of links when I get time. But, in the meantime, the advanced MLS search should give you plenty to look at! _________________ ______________________________________________________________________________

Thank you for the welcome. I retire in 10 years so I plan on having a house all set up to make the move permanent. we'll use it as our vacation house till then. Originally I thought about at least 10 acres but now Im maybe leaning to something in town. That area behind Perry's Hearthside seemed really nice.
We started coming up in the summer 5 years ago, now we try and get up at least 3-4 times and thats not enough. Actually we should be on our way up right now but Im recovering from bypass so Im waiting for a Sept or Oct trip.
Ive always loved the outdoors but its my city mall shopping wife who fell in love with the outdoors and quality of life the Northwoods has and suggested we make the move up North.
Thanks for the info, i will contact your realtor. |
