We groomed last night. It was very surprising how much snow is left on some of our trails considering the lack of significant new snow. However, we still have an extreme variance in conditions. Sections are really good or really poor. Many corners are blown out from riders that think they always have to have the throttle mashed while cornering. We have small stretches where there is little or no snow cover.
Trail 11/15 out to the split is mostly flat, but minimal snow cover. 15 across Hwy N and through the Musky Hills is mostly decent with small areas of almost bare trail. 15 from the Musky Hills and up to the Boulder turn is beautiful. 11 from the Boulder turn and up to Star Lake is white, flat, and awesome. 6/9/11 from Sayner, across Ross Lake Rd, and up to the Arbor Vitae turn is great in spots but the many of the corners are blown out and there are marginal snow cover sections. 6/9 from the 11 turn and across 70 is mostly good. 51 is spotty with some sections great and some not so. 7 from Sayner and north to Star Lake has a lot of areas with heavy snirt with little or no snow. 10 east to Eagle River is mostly good, but again, a few areas of poor snow cover. 7 north from Star Lake is poor around Lake Laura Rd, but pretty decent once you get further north and into the woods.
I know I sound like a broken record, but there is a lot of great riding out there but you'll have to navigate some crap to get there. Today's sunshine and predicted 29 degrees will not help. Pray for snow! _________________ ______________________________________________________________________________
